Meet Lily, a young, lively girl who came to the shelter as a stray. Sadly, despite attempts to contact her owner, no one came back for her. Now Lily is ready to start a new chapter with a family who can give her the structure, activity, and love she needs to thrive. Lily is a very people-oriented dog who shows friendly and affiliative behavior when interacting with staff. She happily approaches people for attention and enjoys being petted. In the yard, sheâs playful and active; running around, exploring, and eagerly engaging with her handler. When treats are offered, Lily can settle briefly and will often sit, showing sheâs capable of learning and responding to positive guidance. This enthusiastic girl has a lot of energy and can become very excited, especially when meeting people. She tends to jump up frequently when greeting or during play, so sheâll benefit from an adopter who can provide consistent training, clear boundaries, and routine to help her channel that excitement into good manners.Lily has shown that she may feel a bit nervous around some other dogs. While she has been able to greet and sniff politely, she can become tense if another dog approaches too directly. Because of this, a dog-to-dog meet is required for any potential canine housemates to ensure everyone is comfortable. Shelter life has been challenging for Lily. The busy kennel environment has caused her stress, and she would truly benefit from getting into a home or rescue environment where she can decompress and return to a calmer routine. With more space, guidance, and stability, Lily has great potential to blossom.
