Meet Meeko, a 7-year-old Siberian Husky mix with a kind heart and calm, friendly nature. Meeko was recently surrendered when his family was no longer able to care for him. While itâs a big change for him, heâs handling it well and is ready to find a new home where he can settle in and be part of a family again. Meeko greets people with a soft, friendly demeanor and enjoys being close to his handlers. He often leans gently into people for pets or curls his body toward them for affection, showing just how much he enjoys human companionship. Despite his larger size, he is gentle and easygoing in his interactions with staff. On leash, Meeko walks well with only mild to moderate pulling and enjoys getting out to explore and sniff around. He appears comfortable and confident in new spaces, happily investigating his surroundings. Regular walks and activity will be important for him; not only because he enjoys them, but also to help him stay healthy and maintain a good weight (he kinda chunky). Meeko has also shown friendly and playful behavior with other dogs. During introductions he greeted another dog politely and soon began engaging in loose, playful behaviors like play bows and gentle pawing. A dog-to-dog meet is recommended for any resident dogs to ensure a good match.
