Solano County Animal Care Division is responsible for the care of all stray, injured and owner surrendered animals for the seven surrounding cities: Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, and Vallejo. We are devoted and dedicated to the service of our residents and welfare of all animals residing in Solano County. We strive to go above and beyond for the animals in our care and community. One of our goals and mission is to place a positive light on the negative stigma that surrounds a county shelter. As the office supervisor, I pride myself in the work that I do on and off hours for my community, the animals, and my team. I am proud to work along side my teammates who are just as hard working and passionate at what they do and why.

Adoption Process
Adopters must complete an adoption application, which includes approval from Landlord or Property Manager. Once approved, an introduction is done with the pet and possible adopter to confirm it is a good match. Once application and introduction is approved, office will finish the process and complete the adoption. Or adoption prices are currently $120 for cats and $150 for dogs. Senior cats/dogs, 6 years are older, are half that price. All our adoptions fees include the animal spay/neutered, microchipped, all current vaccines including the rabies vaccine.
