I wake up with my tail already wagging because every day is a good day when youâre me. The moment I hear my human stir, I stretch out long, front paws forward, back legs reaching behind, and let out a happy little yawn. Maybe today weâll go for a stroll. I take my time, nose to the ground, decoding every message left behind. A passing dog? I know. A squirrel that ran by hours ago? Definitely. My human calls it âjust a walk,â but for me, itâs an adventure. When we get back, itâs toy time. I toss them in the air, chase them, pounce like a mighty hunter. Sometimes I bring one to my human and stare very intently. This means: play with me immediately. Usually, it works. After all that excitement, I like to relax. I find the coziest spot and I let out a content sigh, close my eyes, and drift, always ready in case something interesting happens. And oh, the sun. The warm, perfect, golden sun. I stretch out in its glow, soaking it in like it was made just for me. It feels so good, I can barely keep my eyes open. Iâm a good dog. I lean in, nuzzle closer, maybe give a gentle nudge if they stop too soon. Being close, being loved, thatâs the best part of my day. And tomorrow? Iâll do it all over again. Tail wagging, ready for whatever comes next.
