Hi… I’m Oso. I’m a Poodle, and I can be a little unsure at first. New people make me nervous. I’m not the kind of dog who rushes up for attention right away. I need a little time to watch, listen, and figure things out. If you move slowly and give me space, I promise I’m trying my best to be brave.The shelter has been a lot for me. It’s loud, busy, and full of unfamiliar smells and sounds. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, and when I’m overwhelmed, I get quiet and cautious. What I really need is a calmer environment... a place where I can relax and feel safe. I think once I have that, you’ll start to see the real me. Because underneath the nerves, there’s a sweet, gentle soul waiting to shine. When I begin to trust you, I soften. I’ll come closer. I’ll show curiosity. I might even surprise you with a little spark of personality. I just need patience and understanding to get there. Give me time. Give me consistency. Give me a peaceful space to settle in. I may not be the boldest dog at first, but once I feel secure, I know I’ll blossom into the companion I’m meant to be.
