Rumi (pronounced ROO-me) is the softest female puffball with brown-toned, long black fur with subtle grays behind her ears (just like her momma!). Her mother had been evicted from her home in Phoenix and abandoned, then became pregnant with Rumi and her siblings when Kneading Kitty's Rescue was contacted for help. She was born in the home of a KKR foster on March 2, 2026 along with four other kittens known as the KPop Demon Hunters litter. Rumi is named after the purple, long-haired lead singer of HUNTR/X in the popular kids movie.



Rumi is an actress pretending she doesn't enjoy gentle pets and feigns protest with well-practiced, steady stares. She needs persistence and continuous adoration early on before she'll allow you to hold her. Playing hard to get is her game, but once you crack the code, she will be meowing for play time and gentle pets on her chin, cheeks and down her back. She loves catching air when jumping after wand toys and is quick to sprint after spring toys. If you listen closely while she sleeps, you may hear her snore.



While Rumi is the most independent of the Kpop Demon Hunters litter, Rumi still requires a furry buddy, preferably another cat or kitten in her new home. She hasn't met dogs yet and likely isn't made for being their friend - she can be jumpy and skedaddle to loud, sudden noises like sneezes, barking and vacuums. Rumi's fine with kids of all ages, especially if they understand cats and typical cat boundaries and aren't too rowdy.



Rumi is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on vaccines and FELV/FIV negative. Show her what's underneath, and she'll find your harmony. Fearless and undefined - this is what Rumi sounds like. Are you ready to seal your future with her?
