Pedro

Pedro is a gentle, semi-shy, incredibly sweet 5‑year‑old who has survived more than most dogs ever should. He came to us from the euthanasia list in Polk County, GA, alongside Zoe and their daughter Tilly, after spending his life in backyard breeder and shelter environments.

Where Zoe is bold and outgoing, Pedro is soft and tender. He's the kind of dog who melts into you once he trusts you - here for the hugs, the kisses, and the quiet moments. His sweetness is undeniable, and his gentle nature wins over everyone who meets him. And those ears - beyond adorable. Pedro is a big guy at 80lbs and is very tall, but he's a gentle giant. Pedro will need a 6ft fenced yard.

Pedro is ready for a fresh start with a patient family who will help him continue building confidence and discovering the world at his own pace. He would do best in a calm home without small, loud children. No small animals. He tends to gravitate to people over canines, so a home where he can be the center of attention is preferred. Pedro likes to be a companion and to go on quiet adventures, but he's not one who jumps into the chaos. Pedro gives the BEST hugs in town.

Pedro is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He's currently being fostered at our sanctuary in North Carolina and is available for adoption throughout the eastern US. Transport can be arranged if needed.
