[email protected] for more information or to adopt the pet.Jax is a 4.5-year-old hound mix who is the sweetest boy! This handsome guy is equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion. He loves playing fetch, squeaky toys and getting outside to burn off some energy, so he'd thrive with an active adopter who enjoys walks and playtime, or has a fenced yard for him to explore. Despite his athletic side, Jax is calm and well-mannered inside the home. He's house-trained and will even bark to let you know when he needs to go outside.Jax already knows commands like "sit" and "lay down," and his favorite thing in the world might just be being close to his person. He's affectionate, loyal and happiest curled up nearby, following you from room to room, or giving kisses whenever possible.Jax has done well with a kitten and has shown no aggression, even when the kitten tries to chase his tail or pester him to play. With dogs, Jax can be playful and social in the yard, but he has shown some resource guarding and jealousy around treats and attention. Because of this, he may do best as the only dog in the home or with an experienced adopter who understands dog behavior and management. One thing to know about Jax: He's not the biggest fan of car rides and tends to bark in the car. He also seems unsure about crates at this time.Overall, Jax is a sweet, loving dog looking for someone who wants a loyal shadow, a fetch partner and a best friend all in one.contact me today at
