Hi, I'm Pea I'm an 8-year-old torbie girl with a soft heart and a whole lot of love to give… once I feel safe.In a home, I've been described as loving, snuggly, and a wonderful companion. I enjoy being near my people, soaking up attention, and I've even done well with visitors and respectful, supervised kiddos. I've also been able to peacefully coexist with dogs-pretty impressive, right?But here's the thing about me…I'm a homebody at heart.Being in a shelter for a period of time before arriving at The Rescue Crew was overwhelming for me. With all the noise, movement, and unfamiliar people, I felt stressed and unsure, and I tried to protect myself the only way I knew how. When I was approached too quickly or felt uncomfortable, I might hiss, swat, or try to create space. It's not who I am at my core-it's just me saying, "I don't feel safe right now." Because of this, I'm told that I was going to be euthanized.
