Hi, I'm Mayla.I'm a sweet girl who's just looking for my person - or people - to love and be loved by. I enjoy my chew toys, but what I really love is relaxing near my humans and sharing quiet, cozy moments together.I'm doing really well with my potty training and always go outside. I'm still learning how to let you know when I need to go out, but I'm trying hard and getting better every day.I recently learned that big, busy households can feel a little overwhelming for me, especially when I don't have much time to settle in first. Because of that, I'd do best in a calmer home with older, more considerate kids or adults who understand that sometimes I need a little space while I get comfortable. Once I feel safe and settled, my sweet side really shines.I can get along with other dogs, but I'd be happiest as your one and only, where I can soak up all the love and attention and build a strong bond with you.If you're patient, kind, and willing to give me the time I need to feel secure, I promise to be a loyal, loving companion who will adore being part of your family. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
