About This Dog
What WeRescue Scout knows about Athena
Athena thrives with a family or individual who can provide a securely fenced yard and is willing to work with her on leash training and basic skills. She does best in cooler climates and with adopters who understand the Great Pyrenees breed's protective, independent nature and can commit to regular coat maintenance.
- Requires a securely fenced yard; will roam without one.
- No leash training yet; needs patient, experienced guidance.
- Heavy shedding year-round, especially in coat blowouts.
WeRescue Scout summarized this from the shelter's original listing and may include estimates. Please contact Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League to confirm any details before adopting.

About Athena
Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League
RescueWe are a rural rescue in Pipe Creek Texas. We have a nicely appointed outdoor kennel space with lots of land. We help with the overcrowding problem by taking in strays and pull off the euthanasia list to save dogs. We adopt locally in Texas and abroad to good homes. We then use a transporter to get them to their dream home if it is outside the state of Texas.
