Ralph is a 5-year-old, 12-pound

Pomeranian, Papillon and Dachshund mix, we think

who is slowly discovering how wonderful life as a beloved family pet can be. Coming from a breeding background, many everyday experiences are still very new to him, so he approaches the world with a gentle and cautious curiosity.

While he may be shy at first, Ralph will quietly tiptoe over for pets and affection once he feels safe. Each day, his foster family sees more of him sweet personality emerges through extra tail wags, growing confidence, and gentle little kisses.

Ralph is still adjusting to the routines and activities of life in a home, but he continues to make progress every day. Ralph is completely unbothered around cats and would likely do best in a home with another confident, friendly dog to help him continue building confidence and learning that the world is a safe place. He would also do well with a patient family willing to let him blossom at his own pace.

Though still timid at times, Ralph has a loving heart and is beginning to truly enjoy affection and companionship. With time, patience, and kindness, he is sure to become a devoted little companion to a very lucky family

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
