Gaia

Animal Information: Gaia is an estimated almost 18-month-old female, German Shepherd/Malinois mix, weighing approximately 65lbs. Gaia means "Greek mother of all life". She was found as a stray with her 10 puppies. She had been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was euth listed due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved.

Foster Profile:
Gaia is an incredible girl. Everyone who meets her becomes an instant fan. After raising her pups, she is more than ready to be a puppy herself. While she was originally estimated to be around 6 years old, our team feels confident she is closer to 18 months.

Her playful personality shines through in everything she does. She is engaging, affectionate, and always up for fun. That said, she is still a Malinois. Smart, active, and occasionally a little mischievous if she gets bored.

Gaia is great on leash, rides well in the car, and is fully potty trained. When left alone, she does need a high quality crate, we use Kennel Boss, as she is clever enough to let herself out of a standard wire crate.

In the home, she settles in nicely, but like any Malinois, she thrives with structure and engagement. She is confident and neutral around other dogs. Happy to play when invited or coexist peacefully depending on their energy.

We would love to see Gaia placed in a home with working breed experience that can appreciate her intelligence, drive, and fun loving spirit.



Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).

Animal History: This dog was transferred from in Devore Animal Shelter in CA. She will be transferred via Wiggle Butts, arriving to foster care on 01/25/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
