Meet Nanny. Nanny her brother Billy are 6 month old Lab/Hound X, sweet puppies that got a second chance after coming from a home where the adults were living on chains. While that situation is still being handled in court, Nanny & Billy were safely surrendered to our rescue partner, Saving Shelter Strays.

Meet Nanny - your future best friend (and professional cuddle expert!)
Nanny is adorably cute and fully aware of it. This sweet girl lives for affection - if you're sitting, she's snuggling; if you're standing, she's plotting how to get cuddles anyway. She gives the best kisses and has a heart as big as her puppy eyes.
Brains and beauty? Absolutely. Nanny is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She's already mastered sit, is working on stay, and has fantastic recall (yes, she actually comes when called!). She's learning to walk nicely on leash, picks up new tasks quickly, and is very food-motivated - training with her is a joy. She is in a home with another dog and they get along well, she is respectful of the other dog but engages playfully.
At home, Nanny is a dream. She happily goes into her crate and sleeps through the night like a champ. Potty training is going great, she loves cozy beds, and her toy collection is very important to her daily happiness. She's also getting the hang of fetch, which pairs perfectly with her morning zoomies - consider it your built-in alarm clock, but cuter.
Overall, Nanny is a sweet, playful, affectionate little soul who will fill your life with laughter, love, and lots of snuggles. She's the kind of puppy who doesn't just join your life - she makes it better.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization.

Animal History: This dog was rescued in partnership with Saving Shelter Strays in Texas and will be arriving to Seattle area foster care via Byrdie Express Transport on 12/12/2025. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.
