, later given away, and eventually surrendered by the family who took her in. By the time she arrived back at the shelter, Hazel was overwhelmed and shut down, unsure of what to expect next.
With patience and consistency, her true personality began to shine. Hazel has become a staff favorite, known for her gentle nature and steady temperament. She has a natural ability to put other dogs at ease and now serves as the shelter's go-to dog tester. Hazel does well with dogs of all ages and sizes, reading social cues appropriately and adjusting her play style to match her companion.
After more than six weeks in the shelter, Hazel was at risk simply due to her length of stay. Thanks to glowing staff notes and some heart-melting videos, she earned her freedom ride to the Pacific Northwest for a fresh start. We can't wait to meet her!
Foster Profile: All we can do is gush about this goofy girl. Hazel is doing exceptionally well in foster care. She adores her foster brofur and sister, and has been an excellent house guest. Hazel attended her first meet and greet and was friendly with anyone who wanted to say hi. She is looking for a home with at least one other canine companion, ideally with a fenced yard outside of the city.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
