Animal Profile: Cranberry is a stunning 2-year-old, 70lb shepherd mix who came to our attention through our partners at Turlock Animal Services. She ended up in their small shelter and was at imminent risk for euthanasia due to lack of space. To make things harder, Cranberry was possibly pregnant. Rescues are overwhelmed and although we were also full, we knew we had to find a place for her to land.
Foster Profile:
Cranberry is a super sweet girl! She is pretty shy at first and takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she decides you are her person she is all in! She loves pets and snuggles, but also enjoys settling into her crate for naps and quiet time. She sleeps through the night and is crate and potty trained. We are working on leash manners as she does pull on leash some, particularly when she is tempted by a squirrel or other little critter, and will benefit from an adopter who is willing to continue her training. Cranberry is dog neutral but more interested/connected with her people, so probably will do best as an only dog or with another neutral dog in the home. Overall, this sweet girl takes a little time and patience, but she is truly worth the effort!
