Petra is looking for a forever family to call her own after months spent as a stray begging compassionate neighbors for meals. She is a young adult who can live with dogs, but would likely do best as the only feline in the home.
She requires daily brushing. This is not a chore, but an exercise in relaxation for her human and herself. Petra LOVES the brush. You'll know when she has had enough because the hair at the base of her tail will puff up. If a human ignores that signal, Petra will get a little spicy, so she should not live in a house with very young children.
Petra does not have a strong food drive, so meals are easy. She is picky about the wet food she eats; right now, she likes inexpensive stuff such as Fancy Feast seafood pate.
Her play drive is moderate. Daily sessions for mental stimulation are important for any feline, especially Petra because she wants to feel like she is a part of her human's daily life.
She currently is not a lap cat in her foster home because the resident dog is hogging her foster mom's space. But, she does try to come up on the couch with her...it all depends on if the dog is in the mood to let her.
Petra was born around March 1, 2024, and is currently being fostered in Bristol. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.
