Dating apps are overrated. Listen, ladies and gents. You need someone who you can count on, one who will greet you at the door when you come in, who will pick having a night in every night, always be down to watch that movie with you, and be in bed next to you every night and only have eyes for you (and maybe some Friskies Lil' Soups.) If this what your heart needs, then meet the sweetest soul ever, Doc.
Doc is a gentle mix of cozy companion and quiet explorer. He loves curling up in warm blankets just as much as being on your lap. He will happily keep you company during movie nights, lazy Sundays, and peaceful mornings with coffee. This cutie-patootie will nuzzle in for pets and keep you company without being too demanding about it. But don't be fooled: there is a playful side in there! A dangling toy or a feather toy would will bring his fun, almost kitten side out in seconds. Doc is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe and part of the family. In return, you will get a loyal companion who will fill your days with warmth, comfort, snuggles, and (when he has your trust) just the right amount of mischief. If you're searching for a best friend with a soft purr and a soft heart, Doc is your perfect match!
Doc is a front-paw declaw. This is a procedure we oppose, and while it hasn't given him any special requirements, we have found that most declawed cats prefer lightweight litter. Due to not having front claws, we would prefer for declawed cats to go to a home with a cat-experienced dog.
Doc gets along with other kind cats and would do well as a second cat in a household, but would also like to be your only cat. If you'd like to meet Doc, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a meet with an approved adopter! You can also meet Doc at our weekly adoption event every Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and we require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. We will not send cats to home where they will be declawed as it is a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
