Butterbean

If you happen to be looking for a furry four legged therapist, then look no further. Next time you come to one of our adoption events, pause and talk a talk a minute to Butterbean-- because she loves to listen. She is shy, but even though adoption events are loud, she takes it all in! If you were to be around Butterbean when it's quiet, you would see another cat emerge. She loves to be talked to and will peer at you as if listening intently. She doesn't judge and is here to support. At times her whiskers look like a sophisticated moustache and the white spot on her chest resembles a collar on a white shirt. This quiet, shy, professional lady is soft inside and out. She is looking for a home that is patient and will give her time to gain trust. Butterbean is a front paw declaw.

Due to not having front claws, we would prefer for declawed cats to go to a home with a cat-experienced dog.

This is a procedure we oppose, and while it hasn't given her any special requirements, we have found that most declawed cats prefer lightweight litter.
She tolerates other cats but is not interested in a playmate and would prefer to be the one and only cat in your life. Butterbean is about 2 years old and on the petite side at just under 7 pounds. If you'd like to meet Butterbean, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a meet with an approved adopter! You can also meet Butterbean at out weekly adoption event every Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and we require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. We will not send cats to home where they will be declawed as it is a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
