Four year old Jersey came to the shelter with four other dogs from the same home, and has been by far the easiest to work with, to get out, and to convince that collars and leashes are okay. He'd had little handling prior to this, from the limited amount of knowledge we have about him, so we are happy to be able to help him become more social and outgoing. He is fine with other dogs and seems to be non-judgemental about cats in general. He played with puppies and was quite appropriate in his "favorite uncle" role! He will most likely move to a home with fewer issues than many of the shelter dogs, and we hope he can be a good example to the others in that same home setting: you aren't going to die just because we ask you to wear a collar!
