Blaze likes to call himself 10 years young as this boy loves to run around and his favorite moments? Playing with toys! He practically lights up when has them. Chasing a ball around the yard, swinging a toy rope this way and that, and making the cutest sound while doing so. At the end of the day, this boy loves to snuggle in on his bed. Once you meet Blaze he will simply boop you with his nose, tilt his head, ready for you to take him home! Notes from Blaze's foster: His story will break your heart. It definitely broke mine. But somehow, it hasn't broken him. In fact, he is a constant reminder that dogs are far better than we deserve.He may be 10 but you'd never know- He loves going on walks, happily plays fetch, and is just as content hanging around the house being part of the family while relaxing on his bed. He's been wonderful with our kids and gets along great with our resident dogs and even our cats. Whoever adopts him is definitely very lucky. He is just perfect. Truly the sweetest, most gentle soul.He's been getting over his illness, but you'd never know it from his spirit-still happy, still loving, still right by our side. What continues to amaze us most is how much he adores our kids. If they get upset, he practically gets beside himself trying to comfort them. It's like he just knows and wants to make it better.All he wants in life is love-and he gives it right back tenfold.And a big milestone… he showed us his belly while sleeping for the first time A small moment, but such a huge sign of trust. He's feeling safe, and that means everything.Whoever ends up with this boy is getting something really special.Blaze is currently in a foster home. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
