Buddy was found limping outside his current fosters home in her driveway during the wintertime. He started limping across the street when she called out to him. He turned, meowed pitifully and limped towards her. He allowed her to pick him up and take him home. Once he was inside and out of the freezing temperatures, his leg was examined. There were bite marks and swelling on his back right leg as if he was in a fight. Thankfully, after a vet visit, the wound and swelling have healed, and now he is as good as new!
From the way he is constantly "singing" to his foster family, Buddy got his name from The Elf movie. It was as if he was spreading his kitty cheer for all to hear! He's one happy boy with a lot of personality! He is highly food motivated and loves to play. He will chase feather wands all day if you let him. He also enjoys having balls to bat around the house. On occasion, he will also carry around some jingle toys like their his babies!
Buddy would do well in a home with other cats who are laid back and playful like him. Initially, he was cautious around the family's pet sheltie, but he has gotten used to him. If you have a doggie at home, he should be okay as long as the dog doesn't pay him much mind. He also seems to do well with children too! He will allow them to pick him up, though he won't stay in their arms for too long! Thankfully, he has the patience of a saint!
Buddy's adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
