At first, Pixie may watch you from a distance, her big, curious eyes taking everything in. But with a little patience and kindness, you’ ll see her true personality begin to bloom. She enjoys soft blankets, quiet corners, and the simple comfort of a calm environment. Once she starts to trust you, she’ ll reward you with the sweetest moments—soft purrs, slow blinks, and the occasional nuzzle that feels like a small but meaningful victory. This kitty would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands that love doesn’ t always arrive loudly—sometimes it tiptoes in on soft paws. If you’ re the kind of person who finds joy in earning an animal’s trust and watching them grow more confident each day, this shy little companion could be the perfect match for you.Pixie is on-site and available for introductions during open adoption hours. The adoption paperwork can be completed now with your new pet able to go home as soon as the spay/neuter procedure has been completed.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday.Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
