Bruce the Bear Cub is looking for a loving home where he can fully commit to the snuggle life. This handsome guy will need to find a patient caregiver, willing to give him time to share his full heart with them.Bruce has a big round face, large paws, and very sweet eyes. He is 4 years old, and weighs in at a strapping 14 pounds. He has a long body, is big and strong (word has it the Vikings are after him to join the defensive line next year), and is healthy at this weight. This guy is quite the cuddler; he enjoys lap time for an hour or two a day and is very happy being near his humans as he lounges in a cozy bed or on the cat tree. He also likes his window time, watching squirrels and other wildlife as they go about their business. When playful he is a catnip connoisseur, and wand toys are also highly valued. Bruce is fairly quiet, meowing only if he is lonely and seeks your company, or if you are late feeding him a meal; otherwise, he is a pretty chill lounger, happy to be around you. This guy uses the litterbox consistently, and is very good about using the cat scratchers to sharpen his claws.Bruce would be happy as a solo cat, provided his people are around frequently, or might be okay with another mellow cat. His previous humans needed to rehome him due to a family member's allergies, and in that home he coexisted with another large cat although they didnot interact very much. At his foster home, Bruce is interested in playing with a cat from the other side of the door (exchanging paw taps under the door), but has not progressed to face-to-face play. This may be possible at his forever home; it would just take a very slow introduction.Bruce is a mellow cat, overall, though he can be a bit feisty when he gets overstimulated. Experienced cat people will be able to read his body language, and know that an occasional swat or open mouth prior to a warning nibble are a part of his way to communicate what he does and doesn't like. His foster family thinks he would prefer a home without young kids or dogs, where he can bond with his people and live his relaxed best life.Could Bruce the Bear cub be the right fit for you? He is ready to settle into a forever home, and use his soulful expressions to show you what a nice kitty he can be.- - - - - - - - - - - - -There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
