Kia is a one-year-old, playful sweetheart looking for her forever home! She is a super-resilient, go-with-the-flow type of girl, ready to happily greet her foster humans and their resident cat every day. This pretty lady welcomes her friends with a meow as tiny and cute as her petite stature, and a tail as high as can be in an adorable question mark shape. Kia is always looking to play with toys, her humans, or explore new places without an ounce of fear. She's a voracious eater and loves both dry and wet food. She also enjoys looking out of windows and observing critters outside from atop of her throne (cat tree). Kia is a big fan of head and chin scratches and will give you gentle love nips to encourage you to keep petting her. This brave girl was found living outside amongst a colony of other cats with a couple babies of her own, but came down with a serious illness. She is now totally recovered and is ready to get to be someone's cherished baby herself!Kia is high energy and loves to play and explore. This little lady must have been a skilled hunter when she lived outside, because she's great at stalking and pouncing on her toys and will even carry them in her mouth to hide in her tunnel or cat tree. She would adore living with somebody who will use wand toys to play with her and give her opportunities to show off these exceptional hunting skills during play time. This sweet gal currently lives with 2 adults and 1 adult male resident cat in a single-family home. She has met multiple adult guests and has been very friendly and excited to meet all of them. She was initially quarantined in one room while she was recovering from her illness and did well there, but she definitely appreciates having more room to run and explore. Kia has been a little itchy in foster care, our vet suspects that she may have allergies. She is currently taking an oral medication that has been helping her a lot. Fortunately, Kia loves food so medicating her has been a breeze! Allergies can be a lifelong condition for some animals which require routine vet care and medication to keep pets comfortable. Kia's resident foster cat brother also has allergies, so her foster mom is happy to chat with applicants more about what management entails.Kia's ideal place would be with an active family or adult home with people who love to play with their pets. She would appreciate a home that has areas for her to climb and look out windows. Because she lived in a colony of cats, she would thrive with another feline friend. She has not met any dogs in foster care, but she is a confident girl and would likely adapt well with a respectful canine companion. This beautiful lady has been through a lot in her short life and is so ready to bring her joyful energy to the right forever person or family. Could that be with you? There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
