Sunset (FIV+)-Pending Adoption

Sunset is a 5-year-old lovable chunky boy looking for his forever home. This handsome guy adores attention and snuggles and is more than ready to find a family to call his own.Sunset has a sweet and easygoing personality. He loves spending his days napping in cozy spots, soaking up pets, and leaning into head scratches. When he is not relaxing, he enjoys playing with toys, especially the ball in the track toy, catnip toys, and spring toys. He likes climbing cat trees to survey his kingdom and happily uses his cardboard scratchers. Every now and then he gets a short burst of zoomies that shows off his playful side.His energy level is low to medium. He is mostly a laid-back companion but still enjoys interactive play and those quick spurts of fun that help him stay active.Sunset is currently living in a foster home with one human and multiple cats of varying ages and genders. He has been doing well in this environment and is used to sharing space.His ideal home is one where he can get lots of attention and affection. He would especially love a home where he can curl up and sleep with his human at night.Sunset has a dental appointment scheduled on March 26 and will be ready for adoption once he has healed, but applications are welcome now. He does have a small scar on the side of his left eye from a previous scratch that was treated before coming to Pet Haven. The scar does not appear to impact his vision. Sunset could stand to lose a pound or two, but he does not overeat and is doing well on a balanced diet. His playful zoomies are already helping him stay on track. Sunset is FIV+, but that doesn't mean he can't live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments.
