Meet Matilda: Your Future Lap-Warmer! Matilda is a happy-go-lucky young dog whose absolute favorite place to be is right next to her person. Whether she's curled up in your lap or relaxing beside you on the couch, this sweet girl just wants to share her love. Her Favorite Things: Cuddles: She is a world-class snuggler. Playtime: She loves toys and chewing on bones. Feline Friends: She does great with the indoor cats in her foster home! What Makes Matilda Unique: Matilda is a resilient girl with a beautiful soul. She is a one-eyed pup due to a scuffle with a previous housemate in her past life. Because of this, she can be a bit protective of her toys if another dog tries to take them, so she would do best with a family willing to manage toy time safely. She can also be a little timid around men initially, but with a bit of patience and love, she warms up beautifully once she knows she is safe. She is naturally quiet and not much of a barker! Routine & Care: Grooming: Matilda has a coat that requires professional grooming every 5–6 weeks. She was heavily matted when she first arrived, but she did wonderfully at the groomer and her coat has grown back beautifully. Potty Training: She is doing great with potty training! She doesn't always ask to go out, but she succeeds with a regular schedule. Outdoor Time: Matilda prefers having a buddy when she goes outside, so her adopter should be ready to walk out into the yard with her. (She also likes to sample grass and little things on the ground, so you'll want to keep an eye on her during outdoor time!) Health Note: Matilda recently finished a heat cycle. She had a minor issue during it, but it has completely resolved itself. and she is spayed up to date of shots. Heartworm Neg and on prevention.
