*Lulu is currently in foster. Please call the shelter if you'd like to meet me!*Lulu is a petite 3-year-old cattle dog who is as cute as they come and just as sweet! This little lady has been winning hearts in her foster home, and itâs easy to see whyâsheâs affectionate, friendly, and absolutely loves to cuddle.Lulu is the perfect mix of companion and classic cattle dog. Sheâs happiest curled up next to you on the couch, in a cozy chair, or snuggled into a dog bed. While she enjoys toys now and then, sheâs more of a âchew a bone and relaxâ kind of girl (Benebones are her jam!).She is crate trained and has done well living with other dogs, though she does show some typical cattle dog behaviorsâlike getting excited when other animals move quickly and occasionally nipping at the back legs during play. Itâs not aggressive and has been manageable, but itâs something her future family should understand about her herding instincts. Lulu hasnât chased cats in her foster home, but since she can be triggered by quick movement, a home with dog-savvy or calm cats would be the best fit.Above all, Lulu is incredibly people-loving. Sheâs happiest when sheâs close to her humans, soaking up attention and giving plenty of love in return. If youâre looking for a cuddly, adorable companion with a little herding-dog personality mixed in, Lulu might just be your perfect match! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 PetWatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $175.00Per state law chapter 25.4, adopters must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
