Meet Texas! Howdy, partner! My name is Texas, and I’m a handsome shepherd mix with a heart as big as the Lone Star State. I’m estimated to be around 5 years old, but since I came in as a stray, my exact birthday is a little mystery. What isn’t a mystery, though, is how smart and eager I am to learn! I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I turn into the sweetest, most loving companion. I bond deeply with my people and love showing them just how loyal and affectionate I can be. I’ve been having an absolute blast in the snow and you’ll often find me happily chasing after tennis balls like it’s my full-time job! Because I’m a working-breed mix, I’m looking for an adopter with experience who understands my need for structure, mental stimulation, and continued training. In return, I promise to be an incredibly rewarding best friend who’s ready to learn, play, and love with his whole heart. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home.
