*Lucy is currently in foster. Please call the shelter if you'd like to meet me!*Lucy is a 5-year-old cattle dog who truly checks all the boxesâfriendly, well-mannered, and full of love to give! This lovely girl has been thriving in her foster home, where sheâs shown just how wonderful of a companion she can be.Lucy came into foster care a little on the chunky side, but sheâs been enjoying playtime and activity as she works toward a healthier weight. Sheâs a smaller girl with a big heart, and sheâs more than happy to join you for walks, play sessions, or cozy evenings at home. She is both house trained and crate trainedâbonus points for an easy transition into her forever home! Lucy has done well with other dogs overall, though like a typical cattle dog, she can get excited when other animals move quickly and may feel a little frustrated if she canât join in the action right away. She hasnât chased cats in her foster home, but because she can be triggered by quick movement, a home with calm or dog-savvy cats would be ideal.Lucy absolutely adores people. Sheâs affectionate, friendly, and happiest when sheâs close to her humansâwhether thatâs curled up on the couch, relaxing in a cozy dog bed, or hanging out by your side. She also enjoys playing with toys, especially fetch and tug, and is always up for chewing on a good Benebone. If youâre looking for a well-rounded, loving companion who can be both playful and perfectly content snuggling the day away, Lucy is ready to be your new best friend. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings.
