Every Dog Counts Rescue
RescueWe are an all-volunteer, all-breed rescue located in the Indianapolis area. We do not have a shelter facility, so all animals are cared for in foster care until adopted. We primarily pull dogs and cats from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control, which is the municipal shelter in Indianapolis. We specialize in pulling dogs who are seriously injured or ill. We also take many senior animals. We also have a feral cat sanctuary at the home of our director. Since we take many senior, sick and injured dogs, our average veterinary cost per animal in 2014 was approximately $500. We saved approximately 250 animals, with vet costs of over $120,000, funded through donations. We truly believe every animal counts, and have been fortunate to grow our organization to help the ones who have the least amount of time to get out of the shelter; the sick and injured. We believe if an animal has a potential to still have a good quality of life, they deserve a chance.
