Mr Shilo

Meet Mr. Shilo! He is a one-year-old, 17lb Chihuahua/dachshund mix with a heart of gold. Mr. Shilo came from a difficult situation involving 60 dogs where he often had to compete for food. Fortunately, he was rescued and has been thriving in a wonderful foster home.

In his foster home, Mr. Shilo has learned to love the indoors. While he was initially scared, he has blossomed into a happy energetic dog who enjoys zoomies in the yard, sitting in laps, and receiving belly rubs.



Here are some important details to help you decide if Mr. Shilo is a good fit for your home:

Behavior: He is a bit cautious at first and needs a patient family that will give him time to warm up.

In his foster home Mr Shilo does well with an older bossy female. He can also be an only dog

Training: He uses a doggy door so a home with a secure yard is a must. Shilo is working on his leash and walking skills.

Food: He is very food-motivated. Due to his history, he does not like to share food or treats.

Sleeping: He is happy to sleep in your bed or in a dog bed in your room.

Mr. Shilo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350, which helps cover medical expenses for the rescue.
