Sammy

Sammy is a smart, energetic, and loving dog who is looking for a new home where she can thrive. She loves long walks, running in the backyard, and chasing squirrels. She is house-trained, knows many commands, has good recall, and is generally quiet, only barking when someone comes to the door.

Sammy has lived with a family and has done well with routine and exercise. She enjoys belly rubs and attention from people she knows, but is also very independent. She has also done well at doggie daycare and gets along with some dogs, though she can be selective and may do best as the only pet or with a calm, compatible dog.

Sammy does need a home without small children. She can be reactive toward dogs that approach her aggressively.

She is up to date on all vaccinations and in good health, with only a sensitivity to dairy worth noting. She may need some time to decompress in a new home, but she has shown time and again that she's capable of trust and growth.

Sammy's family loves her deeply and is making this decision with her best interests at heart. She deserves a calm, stable environment where she can feel safe - and with the right fit, she'll thrive.
