A spirited ten-year-old Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix currently living in Richmond, VA, whose essence is a warm embrace wrapped in a fawn coat with charming white accents.

Hayley is a tender-hearted girl with an endless supply of love to give! At 35 pounds, she is the perfect medium-sized companion who believes that laps exist purely for her snuggles. She thrives on physical affection and will nuzzle your hands, curl into your side, or rest her head in your lap as if to say, "You're my entire world." Her daily joy comes from playing with stuffed toys and chasing after balls, followed by a cozy nap near her favorite human.

She knows many commands including sit, lay down, stay, leave it, wait, stand, paw, and drop it. Her intelligence and eagerness to please make her training sessions filled with quiet pride and mutual trust. Though she hasn't had formal obedience classes, she learns quickly with positive reinforcement and would love a guardian who continues nurturing her gentle mind.

Hayley's sensitive side means she seeks a calm, predictable home. Loud noises, crowded environments, or unexpected touches can make her anxious, and she may offer a warning yip or gentle nip to communicate when she feels overwhelmed. She has never bitten anyone but benefits deeply from guardians who respect her boundaries and understand her body language. She is especially tender about her paws and eats a lamb-based sensitive skin diet to keep her feeling comfortable and itch-free.

When it comes to furry friends, Hayley prefers being the only pet. She has shown reactivity to unfamiliar dogs and is selective with cats, sometimes ignoring them, other times reacting based on their energy. Her ideal home would be a peaceful haven with no other animals, no young children, and guardians who cherish quiet walks, routine snuggles, and serene evenings watching the sun set together.
