Meet Bandit!

A charismatic six-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently living in Grand Rapids, MI, whose tuxedo coat and wide, expressive eyes make him look like he's constantly mid-plot in a feline mystery novel.

Bandit isn't your average purring lap cat, he's got character! This large, 15-pound gentleman lives life on his terms, combining the sass of a sitcom star with the instincts of an explorer. He's confident, independent, and a bit of a goofball especially when the catnip jar comes out. Open it, and he'll plunge his head right in for a nibble, then casually bat the lid around like it's the real prize! He's also got a soft spot for wand toys and squeezy treats, which he considers gourmet dining.

Bandit thrives on balance: he enjoys affection, but only when he's in the mood. Think of him more as a cool, mysterious roommate than a clingy companion. He's the type to chill nearby, observe everything with those ghost-seeing eyes, and make his presence known with an expressive chirp. Or, on sassier days, a grumbly little hiss to say, "That's enough, thanks!"

He's curious and adventurous, always the first to find the weirdest corner of a room. He's also playful, with clear boundaries. He's not mean (never a scratch or bite), just very upfront about his personal space. When overstimulated, he might dramatically vocalize or playfully chase after you like a tiny tuxedo-wearing gremlin.

Bandit is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He has previously coexisted with dogs and loves other cats, especially playful or snuggly feline friends. A slow introduction and a home with another social cat would be a dream setup for him! He's also hoping his new caregiver will value regular vet visits and allow him time to settle in and feel safe.
