Meet TruBear!

A spirited two-and-a-half-year-old mixed breed currently in Kenly, NC, whose essence is a joyful whirlwind of playfulness wrapped in a sleek black coat with charming white accents.

TruBear is the definition of a companion dog, where you go, he goes! Whether you're heading to the kitchen, the backyard, or just settling in for a movie night, this affectionate pup is right by your side, tail wagging and heart full. He's already house-trained, neutered, and knows a handful of handy commands like "sit," "let's go," "leave it," and "go potty." He walks beautifully on a leash and responds well to gentle guidance, making him a dream for caregivers who enjoy both structured strolls and spontaneous backyard zoomies.

At 45 pounds, TruBear is medium-sized but filled to the brim with big energy and even bigger love. His days are happiest when filled with tug-of-war, racing the kids through the yard, and savoring his favorite rawhide bones. He currently lives with two older children (ages 9 and 12), and he thrives with their playful energy. That said, his exuberance may be a bit overwhelming for very young children or toddlers, he's just so excited to be included in the fun!

While TruBear previously showed interest in chasing cats in his home, he has since done very well with cats in his dog sitter's home. The sitter reports that TruBear is calm, playful, and appropriate with them, and the cats even enjoy interacting with him. With proper introductions, TruBear may be able to live successfully with feline companions.

Health-wise, TruBear is in great shape, though he occasionally needs a quick ear cleaning to stay comfortable. A loving guardian who can maintain his simple routine, and match his zest for life, will find a joyful, loyal partner in him.
