While her roughly cropped ears might give her a tough look at first glance, her true personality couldn't be more different - this girl is incredibly sweet, gentle, and wonderful with people. Zara is well-mannered and eager to please, already showing off a rock-solid "sit" and "stay," even with distractions around her. She loves attention and will happily lean in close to soak up all the pets and affection you have to give. Zara would prefer to be the only dog in the home, where she can be your one and only and give you her full devotion. In return, you'll get a loyal, loving companion who's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Come take home this darling girl today!

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/4/26 as an owner surrender due to being "aggressive to animals" - while we still recommend Zara be the only pup in the household, she did well during doggy playgroup, where they initially muzzled her due to this history, but were quickly able to remove it with no concerning behavior (Zara even sniffed other pups and was comfortable in the yard!)
-perfect family pup for a home of adults or one with only older children - Zara is whip smart and incredibly well trained, but even with her excellent manners, she is 73 pounds, which could be a lot for little kiddos
-super affectionate, attentive, sensitive, and in tune with her people
