Say hello to
Moon
, a 1.5-year-old Carolina Dog mix with a soft, creamy white coat kissed with the lightest touch of tan - like a marshmallow barely toasted by a gentle flame. This darling girl is feeling overwhelmed in the busy shelter environment and is looking for a calm, patient home where she can slowly decompress and build confidence. Moon clearly wants to bond deeply with her person, she just needs someone willing to move at her pace and give her the time and space she deserves. Once she begins to feel safe, her sweet nature shines through - she'll accept pets and even start to seek out affection. With love, patience, and understanding, Moon has all the potential to blossom into an incredibly devoted companion. This tender-hearted girl is ready to shine bright - she just needs someone to believe in her.
Will that be you?
-1 year 9 month old tan and white Carolina Dog mix
-37 pound female - will need to be spayed before adoption, but the shelter can likely help with this!
-may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can help with this too
-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/3/26 as an owner surrender due to "cost"
-needs confidence building with a slow and patient adopter that can provide a calm and quiet home
-once she warms up, she's very loving!
-full of potential, just needs a bit of extra gentleness and kindness
