Meet Poinsettia-a gorgeous, goofy little puppy whose hobbies include being adorable, hoarding snacks, and acting like the world is one big, slightly confusing theme park. She didn't get a ton of early-life exposure to humans, dogs, or, well… anything, so she's currently discovering that life can be fun, weird, occasionally terrifying, and sometimes just "meh."
Poinsettia would thrive in a home that's on the quieter side-think "chill vibes only," low foot traffic, and very few surprise visitors. She's a world-class snuggler, a champion of tug-of-war (do not underestimate her biceps), and she loves playing with other dogs, her humans, and also-quite efficiently-herself.
She gets along great with canine friends… except at mealtimes, when she transforms into a tiny food dragon guarding her treasure. She may or may not also have a secret stash. If you have other dogs, just plan for separate dining rooms like she's royalty. Because she is.
Being a young pup, Poinsettia has lots to learn. She's not the biggest fan of crates or confined spaces, but the good news is she's not destructive and she treats her pee pad like sacred ground. House training has been delayed due to all the snow (relatable), but she's a smart cookie and will figure it out once Mother Nature cooperates.
She'll need someone patient-someone who understands that her motto is: "We go at my speed, thank you very much." We recommend obedience classes for all our dogs, because learning together builds confidence, strengthens your bond, and gives her a chance to realize other dogs are not, in fact, aliens.
If you're searching for a loyal sidekick who brings joy, laughter, and the occasional dramatic moment, Poinsettia (or one of her equally charming littermates) is ready to fill your home-and heart-with happiness.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
