Hi there! I'm Steelix, a loving and affectionate boy on the lookout for a special place to call home. With my floppy ears and charming personality, I'm sure to steal your heart! While I can be a bit on the shy side at first, I adapt well to new environments, especially when given the chance to explore them gradually. You see, I've been known to warm up quickly to new friends-especially the wonderful shelter staff and volunteers who take the time to get to know me. I thrive on companionship and enjoy being outdoors. Whether you prefer a brisk run, a leisurely walk, or just a cozy stroll, I'll be right by your side, happy as can be. I don't require constant attention, but I do love being nearby, soaking up all the love and cuddles you have to offer. Treats? Yes, please! I'm a total pro at taking them gently from your hand. If you have other pets at home, I think a meet-and-greet would be a great idea, as I can be a bit particular about my doggy buddies. I'm generally friendly with most people, but I'll admit I can be cautious around unfamiliar men, so gradual introductions are key. Given my temperament, I believe I would thrive in a home with adults or older kids who can give me the patience I need to adjust. I might get overlooked sometimes, but once you give me a chance, I'll show you just how affectionate and loyal I can be. In my downtime, you can find me lounging on the couch, enjoying some fun toys, or relishing those oh-so-good belly rubs. With my well-behaved nature, you might even forget I'm there-until you feel my warm snuggles! While I adore the shelter staff and volunteers who care for me, my ultimate wish is to find a forever home where I can truly belong.
