At only 7 months old, Emmett has already learned how much happier life is when you have friends by your side. When Emmett first arrived, he was unsure around other dogs after a rough start to life. But after spending time in foster care, joining playgroups, and getting out into the world, this goofy little pittie has completely blossomed.Turns out? Emmett LOVES being part of the group.Emmett has become one of our playgroup superstars and is currently part of a four-dog playgroup made up of dogs much bigger than him. He keeps right up with the crew and takes notes on everything the other dogs do. If one dog starts running, Emmett runs. If one grabs a toy, Emmett grabs one too. He is the ultimate little copycat. He also spent time out on the town with weekend fosters, where he charmed just about everyone he met. He did wonderfully in foster care with other dogs, even when the resident pups were a little less thrilled about having a baby brother around. He happily followed their lead, played with toys nonstop, and soaked up every bit of attention and adventure he could get.During the Dogwood Festival parade, Emmett proudly greeted crowds of people along the route and especially loved saying hello to kids. This sweet, goofy puppy is ready for a home where he can continue building confidence, collecting toys, making friends, and finally getting the happy puppyhood he deserves.Emmett's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it's important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal's true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application:
