Phineas

Meet Phineas! This gorgeous boy, once found as a stray, is hoping to find his second chance. Phineas lives for toys-if there's a toy around, Phin's either playing with it or has it tucked under his paw like a treasure. He's treat-motivated, curious, and loves his walks, always staying alert and connected to the person holding the leash. Phin is strong and would do best with a handler who has experience with similar breeds and can provide him with the structure he needs to shine. He has shown some (manageable) reactivity on leash but responds well to treats and training. We haven't seen him interact with other dogs much, but he seems selective about canine companions. He's a low-medium energy dog who relishes playing fetch and going on hikes before curling up with his favorite toy and sleeping the afternoon away. Phineas is at our Rescue Center in Verplanck waiting to meet you.All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.
