Some pups are amazing survivors. Meet Lane! He was found as a stray, emaciated and had lost most of his hair. He is now doing amazingly well due to the love and care he received from his rescuers. He has gained 20 pounds and most of his hair has grown back. He is a happy pup and loves to play with other dogs.Lane is now ready for a second chance at a forever home. He is thought to be a year old. And he now weighs 46 pounds! He is a labrador retriever mix with a short tan and black coat. He has such a sweet face with long floppy ears to accent it. He gets along with children and other dogs, and he is even cool with cats. Lane is a great walker on a leash, and he is working on his crate training. Daily walks will be a good opportunity to reinforce leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. Lane is ahead of the curve with his stellar housetraining skill. He is ready to impress his forever family right out of the gate. Although he is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Lane will also appreciate free time in a secure back yard. Keeping his mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom. And of course, lots of time with his family is a must.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Lane is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
