This sweet looking friendly guy is named Nugget. He is a Labrador mix. When you look at him, you automatically think black lab as he has those almond shaped eyes, a lab snout, and of course, short floppy ears. And then there is his short shiny black coat. He is just over 1 year of age and weighs 60 pounds. Little is known about his previous life as he was found as a stray, and a kind soul brought him to a shelter. What is known is that someone at the shelter recognized his potential and saved him so he could have a chance at a forever home. He gets along with the canines, as well as the adults and children. Black labs mixes tend to have a very friendly temperament, and love spending time with people. So, Nugget has the potential to become a devoted family companion. It is unknown if he has lived with a cat. As to training, he is leash trained. It is best to start with a refresher course in crate and house training.Daily exercise will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. He may also enjoy going for hikes.
