If you are ready to polish a little diamond in the rough who just needs some tender loving care to shine, come meet Diamond, a petite 1.5-year-old Chihuahua/mixed breed who was surrendered by her owner when the owner became unable to care for her.Diamond weighs just 10 pounds and wears a cream-colored coat. She was rather shy when she was first surrendered but has begun to come out of her shell as she receives care and attention. Dogs and children are lovely companions for Diamond. It is not known if Diamond shines in the company of cats.Diamond is working at her house and leash training. Rescue dogs should be expected to have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, family and routines. If crate training is anticipated, Diamond requires a crate that lets her lie down, stand up and turn around. Crates should never be used for punishment, should be warm and cozy dens and she should be able to go in and out as she desires during training. If you have room in your heart and home for a little lady who deserves a gentle touch and much love, Diamond is the jewel waiting for you.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Diamond is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
