If you have ever wished your morning bagel could love you back, meet the one and only Bagel, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever/Beagle mix who is guaranteed to be the best thing since sliced bread. With his short brown and tan coat and those warm, curious brown eyes, Bagel has perfected the art of the Pick me! look. At 64 pounds, he is a generously sized bundle of sweetness with just the right amount of energy (low to medium) to keep life fun without turning your living room into a racetrack.Bagel is shy at first (think of him as lightly toasted rather than bold and crunchy) but give him a little time and you will see his wonderfully soft center. Once he warms up, he is incredibly sweet, well-behaved, and eager to be your loyal sidekick. He gets along well with kids and other dogs, greeting new friends with happy tail wags that could power a small fan. His history with cats, though, is still a mystery. This handsome guy is polishing up his crate training skills and is already showing how bright and eager-to-please he is. With patient guidance and a loving routine, he will rise to the occasion beautifully. The good news? He already housetrained and walks very nicely on a leash, making neighborhood strolls and dog walking adventures something you can both look forward to.Bagel loves a mix of activity and low-key moments, whether he is chasing a ball, tugging on a rope, or investigating what might become his new favorite toy. And when the day winds down, he transforms into a champion cuddler, happiest when curled up beside you for a cozy evening. Affectionate, loyal, and full of heart, Bagel is ready to sprinkle joy into everyday moments. If your home feels like it is missing something warm, comforting, and impossible not to love, Bagel might just be the perfect recipe. He is ready to find his forever family, and he promises to be the kind of Bagel you will want by your side every single day.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Bagel is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
