Valentina is a brindled colored Cairn Terrier mix puppy at 6 months. She just weighs 9 pounds! Luckily, she was found as a stray and brought to a southern shelter. That shelter (a high kill shelter) asked her to be pulled and saved. She is full of life, very sweet, loves to play and stretch out in the sun to relax. (It is not known if she has met a cat or young kids).Cairn terrier mixes have a large personality packed in a small frame with a spirited, intelligent, and affectionate nature. Think classic Toto legacy: Loyal, curious, independent. They love daily walks, games of fetch, and being outdoor explorers. Puppies have lots of potential, and since she is smart and friendly, she can grow to be a wonderful companion in the right home. She is working with house, crate, and leash training. Like most puppies, she will probably be a quick learner once routines are established. Daily short walks (under thirty minutes) will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. Please note: She would also appreciate free time in a fenced in back yard. Keeping her mind active with interactive toys and puzzle feeders will prevent boredom that can lead to destructive behavior.
