Some puppies know how to be photogenic. Do you not just love the one ear up and the other down? Meet adorable Beamer, a four-month pup, weighing about 16 pounds. He is a shepherd mix and will probably be in the medium size range (30 to 60 pounds) when fully grown. His gorgeous shepherd fur is tan and black. Beamer is a calm and relaxed pup with a medium level of energy. He gets along well with other dogs, adults, and kids. It is not known if he has met a cat. He is very sweet and friendly and was rescued from a Texas shelter. Since we do not know what training Beamer has had, it would be best to start with a refresher course in house, crate, and leash training. He, like most pups will be a quick learner once routines are established. Daily short walks (under thirty minutes) will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. Please note: He may not be a running companion until after age one when his growth plate closes.Beamer would appreciate free time in the back yard to burn off energy. Keeping his mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom. Beamer is a loving playful pup. He will want to be with a family that will give lots of affection and attention to him.
