Nanette

When Nanette first arrived at OAS, this young girl with a gentle heart was still learning to trust the world around her. She was hesitant at first, and sometimes flattened her ears or gave a little hiss if she was feeling scared, but her sweet nature shone through when she was offered treats or given the space to warm up on her own terms.

Thanks to gentle, consistent attention from our staff and volunteers, Nanette's confidence has grown by leaps and bounds, and her heart has opened to all the love it can soak up! These days, Nanette will happily greet you with meows and purrs, rub her body against your legs, jump into your lap for pets and biscuits, and raise her "elevator butt" with delight!

A couple of things Nanette is still getting used to (and definitely isn't a fan of) are being picked up and put into a carrier. Her ideal adopter is someone with lots of cat-wrangling experience who can provide Nanette with a quiet, child-free home where her affectionate and playful nature can shine.
