Hi! My name is Detrik, and I'm a 5-month-old German Shepherd mix currently around 30 pounds-but I'm expected to grow to about 70 pounds when I'm fully grown. With my cutest ears, sweet face, and extra fluff, I might just be as adorable as it gets.

I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, and when I feel unsure or unsafe, I like to "talk" and let you know how I'm feeling. But once I know you're kind and I can trust you, I won't leave your side. I'm a total cuddle bug with my people and form strong bonds with those who make me feel safe.

I absolutely love other dogs and am looking for a home with another confident, playful dog who can be my buddy for playtime and snuggles. I would do best in a home that is willing to work on my training, give me lots of love, and have the patience to help me continue building confidence.

I love toys and I'm very food motivated, which will make training fun and rewarding! I'm crate trained (I might let out a small cry or two at first, but that's all), and I've just started learning to potty outside-I'm picking it up quickly, so I'll be fully potty trained in no time. I'm also still learning how to walk on a leash; sometimes I freeze until I know it's safe but with encouragement and consistency, I keep improving.
